Purpose of Our Church

Hampshire View Baptist Deaf Church (HVBDC) is an Independent Fundamentalist Baptist church greatly burdened to preach the Gospel to the lost Deaf souls living in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.

It is located near Gallaudet University, the only university for the Deaf in the world. For nearly 25 years, HVBDC have ministered to the Deaf students through its Gallaudet Bible Study. Many students have become members of HVBDC or moved back to their home states, spreading the Gospel everywhere.

HVBDC is a place where you can be at ease, and know that you have access to communication. It is blessed to have a Deaf pastor fully supported with few young Deaf associate pastors. We have several ministries in which you can participate, such as youth ministry, usher ministry, CODA ministries, van ministry, Discipleship ministry, and more.

Our Vision

HVBDC’s vision is to disciple new generations of Deaf Christians, both men and women, to carry on the work of the Lord. Its motto is from 2 Thessalonians. 2:17, “Stablish you in every good word and work.” We have Discipleship ministry in which you can learn God’s Word and ask any question. We will gladly answer your questions from the Bible. It also has a small Christian library, you can borrow books as you learn and grow in Lord’s grace.

We invite you to join us and freely worship the Lord. We look forward to see you at our services, and we pray that you will feel blessed with us in worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
